About Zenta
dolor sit amet
Studying and performing in theatre and dance from childhood, to undertaking wilderness quests in the Australian outback, Zenta has always been inspired by the experience of the sacred both within the human spirit and nature.Zenta's years as a student and performance member with the Margaret Barr Dance Drama Group, under the guidance of Margaret Barr's formidable and inspiring style, were some of the most formative in relation to Zenta's dance training. Zenta began classes with Margaret in her teenage years and later rejoined in her early twenties as a performance group member. After completing An Advanced Certificate In Counselling in 1996, Zenta went on to study global earth ways traditions and cultures, focusing on the shared significance of movement and rhythm as forms for facilitating healing and balance. This grew into the founding of the dancemovement practice Bodhidance and her ongoing work with Rhythmic Drumming (Zenta both makes and teaches working with the North American style hoop drum). One of Zenta's first teachers in traditional earth ways practices is Ruby Worthy with whom Zenta studied at Ruby's Gondwana Centre in South Australia.www.earthmedicineaustralia.com.auIn 2009 after completing Brain Gym 101 and Optimal Brain Organization training through the Educational Kinesiology Foundation Zenta developed Calm and Clear Relaxation Awareness. This practice combines contemporary Brain Gym techniques with the ancient Tibetan breath and movement system known as Kum Nye.'Living the Lotus' is an accompanying practice which comprises a movement and meditation approach toward supporting well-being and inner calm.Zenta’s Wilderness Retreats focus on the experience of inner stillness and personal renewal enjoyed through time-out in Nature.Conscious time spent in Nature is an ancient rite that can cleanse, balance and renew body and spirit.Zenta works with a broad spectrum of people -providing programs and sessions to the general public, organisations, corporate clients, and people living with disabilities and their carers/support workers. Please contact Zenta to find out how a program or session might be taylored to suit your needs.
